First elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in 2012, Trey has proven himself to be an effective conservative leader for his constituents both at home in House District 16 and at the State Capitol. Trey has consistently promoted his beliefs of limited government and lower taxes to put forth common sense legislation aimed to drive growth in our private sector. Trey is one of the top leaders in the Georgia State House serving as the Majority Caucus Whip and a member of the Code Revision, Energy, Utilities & Telecommunications, Health & Human Services and Ways and Means committees, an Ex-Officio member of the Rules Committee, while also serving as chair of a Judiciary Sub-Committee and secretary of the Higher Education and Judiciary committees.
Trey and his wife Amy remain active in our community dedicating their time to several local and statewide non-profit and charity organizations. The couple are proud members of the First Baptist Church in Cedartown, where they reside.
